Permanent Residency – Obtaining a ‘Green Card’

Starting a new life in any foreign country can be intimidating, especially if you are not fully aware of the immigration procedures in the U.S. At Pines Law Group we help our clients navigate the often complicated and confusing immigration process to obtain the ‘green card’ if that is their goal.

What is commonly known as Green Card or U.S. permanent residency card can be obtained in various ways. A petition is submitted by another party from US: such as an employer, a relative, or in specific cases by the individual themselves, exceptional ability clients, victims of abuse, crime, or Cuban citizens seeking a green card. The attorneys at Pines Law Group can help determine the best approach for you.

Depending on your case, whether it is family based (FB) or employment based (EB) different forms are submitted to immigration, form I-130 or form I-140 respectively. Upon approval individuals then submit form I-485 for the Green Card. After filing form I-485 with USCIS, individuals undergo fingerprinting and typically an interview. Pines Law Group, our dedicated team, will assist in interview preparation and attendance. While the application is pending and depending on your particular case, we secure a work permit and travel document. Upon approval of the I-485, a Green Card is issued. If clients are abroad, then the process is done through consular processing via the National Visa Center within the Department of State.

The dedicated team at the Pines Law Group will assist you through the entire process, including interview preparation and attendance. Whether you are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or prospective U.S. resident, Pines Law Group can guide you to the most suitable option for obtaining residency for your entire family.
